The Italian Online Commodities Exchange (Borsa Merci Telematica Italiana - BMTI), set up by Law Decree 174 on April 6th 2006, is the online regulated market of agricultural, food and fish products.

The aim of the BMTI is to provide to the market operators an online platform which allows the daily and continuous negotiations from remote sites.

The Italian Online Commodities Exchange (BMTI) represents a regulated and innovative instrument, designed to facilitate the matching between the buying and selling proposals through a continuous auction mechanism that reflects the real dynamics of the market.

The intention of this trading system is to ensure the efficiency and rationality of the market and quickly and transparently determine the traded quantities and prices.
